,
Management Plan
Working with our environmental coalition, the project director will manage the
youth/senior program. He reports to the Environmental Project Management Team.
Each has designated roles and responsibilities.
Presently, this coalition is managing a youth leaf raking project that involves over
2000 youth raking up to 1000 yards. The project director is a certified teacher and
reports to Decatur Community Partnership, a community health collaborative. Our vision
for Keep Decatur/Macon County Beautiful is to further this initiative by including senior
citizens paired with various youth groups and act as a mentor/companion during the
maintenance tasks.
Work plans with evaluation components will be completed and monitored by the
management team. Monthly reports will be completed by the director and submitted to
the management team. Marketing plans will be committee driven and will be a part of the
overall community health initiative of the national grant, Turning Point.
Additionally, the Youth Engagement Strategy grant management team will work
in full cooperation with the youth/seniors, providing leadership and communication
training.
The existing Macon County After School Council will organize through the IDHS
grant Communities CAN! and will be a supporting partner by providing qualified youth
for the maintenance contracts.
Attached are the management teams of Keep Decatur/Macon County Beautiful,
the Environmental Project team, the Decatur Community Partnership Board, the Turning
