• Provide for a much needed increase in warehouse storage for weekly delivery of
dry goods, as well as cold products.
• Allow for easier access for delivery trucks and provide an adequate loading dock.
• Improve the flow of clients allowing the organization to serve a greater number of
people each day.
The proposed development is in line with the City Council goal of redeveloping the
community's neighborhoods and reusing vacant facilities or lots for redevelopment
whenever possible. We believe that the land sale and resulting project would be good for
the community and the neighborhood, allowing for the continued growth of a long-
standing community partner.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Northeast Community Fund
STAFF REFERENCE: Billy Tyus,Assistant City Manager for Development Services
can be reached at btyus@decaturil.gov or 217-424-2727,Richelle Irons, Director of
Neighborhood Services at rirons@decaturil.gov or217-424-2864 or Patrick Hoban,
Economic Development Officer at phoban@decaturil.gov or 217-424-2778.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None
