Project means the mass transportation capital project for which grant funds are to be used by the Grantee <br /> pursuant to this Agreement, as described in Grantee's final approved application. <br /> D. Project Facilities means any facilities,equipment or real property purchased,acquired,constructed, <br /> improved, renovated or refurbished as part of the Project. <br /> E. "FTA"means the Federal Transit Administration of the United States Department of Transportation. <br /> F. "GovemmenY'means both the United States federal government and the State of Illinois state government or <br /> any of its federal or state agencies. <br /> G. "Contractor"or"Third Party Contractor�means a vendor or contractor of the Grantee, paid or financed in <br /> whole or in part with federal or state assistance. <br /> ITEM 2-THE PROJECT <br /> The Grantee agrees to undertake and complete the Project and to provide for the use of Project Facilities, in the <br /> manner set forth in the Grantee's final application that has been approved by the Department,for the amounts set <br /> forth in the Approved Project Budget,a copy of which budget is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit <br /> "B", and in accordance with this Agreement and all applicable laws and regulations. The Project,the construction of <br /> a transfer center in downtown Decatur, IL,which is more particularly described in the plans, specifications and <br /> schedules set forth in the Grantee's final approved application, is generally described as follows: <br /> 11.31.03 Architecture and engineering services. <br /> 11.32.03 Land acquisition. <br /> 11.33.03a Demolition and construction. <br /> 11.33.03b Demolition and construction. <br /> ITEM 3-AMOUNT OF GRANT <br /> The estimated Net Project Cost is$2,072,125. The Department agrees to make a Grant to fund a portion of the net <br /> project cost in the maxirrruEn amount of$1,214,425. Of this amount, $800,000 will be provided with federal funds <br /> passed through the state and$414,425 in state funds; provided, however,the Department(at its sole discretion) <br /> may agree to increase the amount of the Grant in excess of the amount specified herein or change the funding <br /> percentages, but in no event shall the total amount provided by the Department under this Agreement exceed the <br /> percents of the Net Project Cost shown below. The amount of the Grant will fund the actual costs of items in the <br /> Grant, as determined by the Department upon completion of the Project. <br /> A. The following item(s)will be funded by this Grant at a rate of 100%of actual net project costs up to a <br /> maximum of$1,000,000. These Items will be funded with 80%federal funds and 20%state funds. <br /> 11.31.03 Architecture and Engineering <br /> 11.32.03 Land Acquisition <br /> 11.33.03a Demolition and Construction • <br /> Construction and demolition costs will be reimbursed first with line item 11.33.03a funds,up to the maximum, <br /> after which costs will be reimbursed with line item 11.33.03b funds. <br /> State/Federal Capital Grant pa8e s <br />
