E., Acting Dir. of Engineering & Infrastructure . <br /> Matthew C. Newell, P. E., Traffic Engineer ��� <br /> SUBJECT: City-State Agreement to Extend the Master Agreement Covering the <br /> Operation and Maintenance of Traffic Signals on State Routes <br /> An item on the agenda for the November 6, 2000, City Council meeting is an agreement <br /> between the City of Decatur and the State of Illinois to extend the current Master Agreement <br /> dated July 9, 1980, covering the maintenance and operation of traffic signals located on State <br /> routes within the corporate limits. <br /> The 1980 Master Agreement provides a mechanism whereby the Illinois Department of <br /> Transportation can reimburse the City for the maintenance work it performs on traffic signals <br /> located on State routes. Reimbursement is generally provided in accordance with the proportion <br /> of the intersection under State or City jurisdiction. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> Attach: 2 <br />
