E., Traffic Engineer 5.�� <br /> SUBJECT: City-State Agreement Covering the Proposed Installation of Traffic <br /> Signals at the Intersection of Illinois Route 48 with Rock Springs Road <br /> An item on the agenda for the November 6, 2000, City Council meeting is an Agreement <br /> between the City of Decatur and the State of Illinois covering the proposed installation of traffic <br /> signals at the intersection of Illinois Route 48 with Rock Springs Road. <br /> All construction costs relative to this traffic signal improvement will be borne by the City <br /> (10%, $13,000), State (10%, $13,000) and Federal (80%, $104,000) governments. Design and <br /> construction engineering costs will be borne by the City (15%, $1,950) and the State (85%, <br /> $17,550). The total estimated cost to the City is $14,950, which will be paid with Motor Fuel <br /> Tax funds. <br /> The City will maintain and operate the completed traffic signals. Fifty percent of the <br /> maintenance and operation costs will be reimbursed by the State. As is currently the case, the <br /> City covers all electricity costs required to operate the traffic signals. <br /> Staff will be resent to answer an uestions the Council ma have. <br /> P Yq Y <br /> Attach: 2 <br />
