. , <br /> , , <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> TO THE <br /> AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> DATED OCTOBER 18, 1999 <br /> WHEREAS, an Agreement for Engineering Services dated October 18, 1999 (hereinafter <br /> referred to as the Agreement), now exists and is in full force and effect between the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) and Black & Veatch <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the Engineer); and, , <br /> WHEREAS, the scope of the project as described and defined under the Agreement is ', <br /> being expanded to include additional services for the construction phase of an Ion I <br /> Exchange Treatment Plant Addition at the South Water Treatment Plant as described in <br /> Attachment A, Scope of Services for this Amendment No. 1; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises contained in the Agreement, this <br /> Amendment No. 1, and Attachments A and B for this Amendment No. 1, Owner and <br /> Engineer agree to amend the Agreement as stipulated in this Amendment No. 1 and <br /> Attachments A and B for Amendment No. 1. <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment to the Agreement <br /> and its effective date shall be November 6, 2000 <br /> CITY OF DECATUR BLACK& VEATCH <br /> OWNER ENGINEER <br /> B By: <br /> Daniel W.
