Howley and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Steve Garm�i, ty Manager <br /> Faul McChan�Mass Transit Administrator �; <br /> � <br /> RE: Agreement w' h Decatur Pride Checker Cab <br /> The City now has an agreement with Pride Midwest Services, Inc., doing business as Decatur <br /> Pride Checker Cab, to provide taxi service under the Decatur Public Transit System's subsidized <br /> taxi program for the disabled. The subsidized taxi service complements the Transit System's <br /> wheelchair lift-equipped van program. The current agreement runs through October 31, 2000; <br /> the proposed agreement would run through Apri130, 2005. The proposed agreement also <br /> incorporates the new fare schedule adopted by the cab company on October 1, 2000. <br /> Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will authorize the City to renew an <br /> agreement with Pride Midwest Services, Inc., doing business as Decatur Pride Checker Cab, to <br /> provide taxi service under the Decatur Public Transit System's subsidized taxi program.
