E., Acting Dir. of Engineering &Infrastructu SUBJECT: State of Illinois Department of Transportation Grade Crossing Agreement The Canadian National/Illinois Central Railroad (CN) has forwarded to the City a tri-party agreement (copy attached) between the State of Illinois acting through its Department of Transportation, the Illinois Central Railroad (ICRR) and the City of Decatur. The agreement is for the relocation of an existing cantilevered crossing signal at the intersection of Jasper Street and the crossing of the ICRR's tracks. The City is a party to the agreement because Jasper Street is under the City's jurisdiction. The City's Corporation Counsel has approved the agreement. The relocation is being done at no work or cost participation by the City, as it is funded I through the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act(ISTEA) of 1991.
