Numerous breakover points occur along the stream bank which serve as discharge areas for silts and <br /> sediments to enter into Sand Creek and then transported to Lake Decatur. <br /> Incorporating a Sediment Delivery Ratio(SDR)will yield an estimated tons of soil that will be deposited into Lake Decatur: <br /> Sheet&Rill:........ 16,103 Tons x .25 =4,026 Tons <br /> Ephemeral:.......... 3,937 Tons x .35= 1,378 Tons <br /> Gully:............. 580 Tons x .75= 435 Tons <br /> Total =5,839 Tons Annually or 8,650 Cu. Yd. <br /> (Presuming 50 Ibs. of Soil per Cu. Ft.) <br /> Although the weighted sheet and rill is 3.3 Tons/Ac.which is considerably less than the weighted T of 4.7 Tons, 10 tracts of farmland where <br /> eroding between 1-2T. <br />
