Alexander, Lake Manager � <br /> SUBJECT: Lake Decatur Dredging - Basin 6 Engineering Services <br /> In response to requests for proposals for the above subject project, City staff received <br /> proposals from five professional consulting engineering firms. Proposals were received from, in <br /> no order of priority: <br /> Bainbridge, Gee, Milanski & Associates <br /> Cochran & Wilken <br /> Gahagan & Bryant Associates <br /> Homer L. Chastain& Associates <br /> Patrick Engineering <br /> The proposals were reviewed by Bill Ratekin (Assistant City Engineer), Shannon Allen <br /> (Watershed Specialist, Macon County Soil & Water Conservation District) and Keith Alexander. <br /> Interviews were then held with Homer L. Chastain & Associates and Cochran & Wilken. Based <br /> on proposal and interview evaluations, staff recommends that Homer L. Chastain & Associates, <br /> LLP be awarded the contract to provide these services. An important early part of this work is to <br /> determine if the Oakley Township sediment storage site is suitable for additional sediment <br /> storage. The proposed engineering services are: <br /> A. Identify, define, analyze and recommend sediment storage site(s) for the hydraulic <br /> dredging of Basin 6 of Lake Decatur. The benefit-cost analyses of the recommended <br /> sites are to include, at a minimum: <br />
