September 11, 2000
TO: Honorable Mayor Terry M. Howley and City Council Members
FROM: Steve Garm , ity Manager
Paul McCh , Mass Transit Administrator +.= '
RE: Mass Transit Capital Grant Application for Amendment - ,
Amendment No. 1 to Capital Grant Agreement No. 2167
- CAP-95-519-FED- '
The City currently has a grant contract with the Illinois Department of Transportation for the i
construction of the proposed multi-modal transportation center. The State has informed the City i
that additional State and Federal funds have been made available to Decatur to complete the
funding necessary to fully construct the facility, including architectural and engineering fees and
construction management (owner's representative) fees. With these additional funds, almost no
local funds would be required for eligible grant expenses.
The attached resolution authorizes the City to file an application for Amendment No. 1 to Mass
Transit Capital Grant Agreement No. 2167 (Project No. CAP-95-519-FED). This would amend
the scope and funding as shown on the attached budget pages. Staff recommends adoption of the
attached resolution. Staff is available to answer any questions.
I
Encls: Grant Application -Amendment No. 1
