AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made by and between the CITY OF DECATLTR, ILLINOIS <br /> ("CITY"), a municipal corporation, and SUBURBAN, INC. ("SUBURBAN"), an Illinois <br /> corporation. <br /> WHEREAS, the CI'TY wishes to provide a leaf collection service to enable its citizens to <br /> dispose of leaves in a convenient and economical manner; and, <br /> WHEREAS, SUBURBAN has offered to provide such service, under the terms and <br /> conditions set out herein; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY agrees that such terms and conditions are reasonable and <br /> acceptable. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,the CIT'Y and SUBURBAN agree as follows: <br /> I DEFINITIONS <br /> Autumn collection period: October 15 through December 31 of each year, or such earlier <br /> date as is determined by the City Manager. <br /> Curbside leaf vacuuming and disposal (or. "leaf vacuumin�"): Sweeping or raking into a <br /> street those leaves properly deposited adjacent thereto by the resident(s) thereof, then vacuuming <br /> said leaves into the collection vehicle and depositing them at a location approved by the Illinois <br /> Environmental Protection Agency("IEPA"). <br /> Proner deposit of leaves: Leaves shall be considered properly deposited adjacent to <br /> streets if they are deposited within three (3) feet of the curb, where a curb exists, or within three <br /> (3) feet of the roadway, within an area not greater than fifteen (15) feet in length measured <br /> parallel to the street, and are so deposited not later than 7:00 AM on the scheduled collection day. <br /> Residential premises: Premises occupied by six(6)or fewer living units. <br /> Snrin�collection period: March 15 through April 15, as determined by the City <br /> Manager. <br /> II TERM <br /> 2.1 The term of this agreement shall be from October 1, 2000, through September 30, <br /> 2005, except as provided in Section VIII hereof. <br /> 1 <br />
