. <br /> OF'�fC <br /> � 9� <br /> - C <br /> V 70 <br /> ��i�:�9 <br /> '/lLINO\Y <br /> March 22, 2000 <br /> PUBLIC WORKS MEMORANDUM <br /> NO. 2000 - 20 <br /> MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: Steve G , ity Manager <br /> Bruce McNa , P.E., Director of Public Works <br /> Matthew C. ewell, P.E., Traffic Engineer�Gr�1 <br /> SUBJECT: Revised Resolution for the City-State Agreement for the <br /> Modernization of Traffic Signals at the Intersection of 22nd Street <br /> with Wood Street <br /> An item on the agenda for the April 3, 2000, City Council meeting is the approval of a <br /> revised Resolution for the agreement between the City of Decatur and the State of Illinois <br /> Department of Transportation covering the proposed modernization of traffic signals at the , <br /> intersection of 22nd Street with Wood Street. The agreement for the 22nd Street / Wood Street I <br /> traffic signal improvement was approved by the City Council at its Mazch 13, 2000, meeting. ', <br /> The Illinois Department of Transportation has requested additional language which was not �� <br /> included in the Resolution passed by the Council during the March 13, 2000, City Council I, <br /> meeting. The revised resolution contains the following: <br /> • Specific wording with regard to the appropriation of sufficient funds to cover the project, and <br /> • An agreement that the City will pass a supplemental resolution if added funds are required to <br /> cover the City's portion of the improvement. <br /> Appropriated funding is placed at $2,875, which is 125% of the engineer's estimate for the <br /> City's share. The engineer's estimate was the basis of the $2,300 approved in the original <br /> resolution. Funding for this project will be through Motor Fuel Tax funds. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach. 1 <br />
