� . ,_ <br /> CTTY OF DECATUR <br /> 21ST STREET SEWER SEPARATION <br /> CITY PROJECT NO 9828 <br /> ENGINEERING SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into the . c7 T�day of wt►ir�2c H- , AD., 2000, by and <br /> between the CTTY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, hereinafter refened to as the "CITY" and <br /> BAINBRIDGE,GEE,MII,ANSKI&ASSOCIATES,INC.,CONSULTING ENGINEERS, hereinafter <br /> refened to as the "ENGINEER", covers professional engineering services in connection with the <br /> construction of the subject project. <br /> WITNESSETH THAT, in consideration of these premises and of the mutual covenants herein set <br /> forth, <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> 1. To perform or be responsible for the performance of the following professional engineering <br /> services for the CTTY in connection with the proposed improvements hereinbefore described. <br /> Said services will be as specifically requested�the CITY. <br /> a. Consult with the CITY and with the Contractor on interpretation of plans and <br /> specifications and regarding any changes under consideration as construction <br /> proceeds. <br /> b. Provide periodical jobsite inspection by the Engineer, or his representatives, during <br /> the construction period. <br /> c. Set and grade survey control points consisting of the centerline and offsets for each <br /> drainage structure prior to the Contractor commencing work. <br /> 2. To attend conferences to be held at the request of the CTTY and visit the site of the work at <br /> any reasonable time when requested to do so by the CITY. <br /> 3. That payment by the CITY in accordance with Section 1 of THE CITY AGREES will be � <br /> considered as payment in full for all services rendered in accordance with this <br /> AGREEMENT. <br /> 4. That he is qualified technically and is entirely conversant with the design standards and <br /> policies applicable to the IlVIPROVEMENT; and that he has sufficient, properly trained, <br /> organized and experienced personnel to perform the services enumerated herein. <br /> THE CITY AGREES, <br /> 1. Payment for all services for Sections 1 and 2 of THE ENGINEER AGREES rendered under <br /> the terms of this AGREEMENT shall be on a time and expense basis to be computed at the <br /> technical payroll cost to the ENGINEER times a multiplier of 2.0. Technical payroll cost is <br /> defined as the direct productive salary cost for time directly chargeable to the project, plus <br /> fringe benefits and payroll burden (includes sick leave, vacation and holiday pay, <br /> unemployment taxes, contribution for social security, workmen's compensation, insurance, <br /> retirement benefits and medical insurance benefits).
