R2000-15 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING AND EXECUTION OF <br /> AMENDMENT N0.2 OF AN AMENDED APPLICATION <br /> FOR A MASS TRANSPORTATION CAPITAL GRANT <br /> AGREEMENT NO. 2493 <br /> UNDER THE ILLINOIS MASS TRANSPORTATION GRANT PROGRAM <br /> FY'98 <br /> CAP-97-569-FED <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Illinois has received a Federal Transit Administration Section <br /> 5309 discretionary Bus Allocation appropriation for FY'98'; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Illinois Deparirnent of Transportation is authorized to make <br /> grants for mass transportation capital projects, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the City has an existing capital grant agreement with the State of Illinois; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur is an eligible applicant for said grants. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City of Decatur enter into grant contract No. 2493 for <br /> CAP-97-569-FED Amendment No. 2 ("AgreemenY') with the State of Illinois in order to obtain <br /> grant assistance under the provisions of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois (Part 8.5), 20 <br /> ILCS 2705/49 et sea•; the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois (Part 9), 20 ILCS 5/51; and the <br /> General Obligation Bond Act, 30 ILCS 330/4 ("Acts"). <br />
