Howley and City Council Members
FROM: Steve Garm y Manager
l%'
Cecil A. Collins Jr., Director of Community Develo ment, Planning and Transit
Paul McChanc , Mass Transit AdministratorP„
RE: State Grant CAP-87-303-FED Amendment No. 8
In April, 1987, the City and the State executed Grant CAP-87-303-FED, contract No. 1353. The
primary purpose of the grant was the construction of the Transit Administration Building. The
permitted life of the above referenced grant has expired, and approximately $20,000 of State and
Federal funds are still available to be spent under this grant. In order to extend the life of the
grant, and therefore to continue to be able to use the allocated funds, a grant amendment must be
approved. If approved by City Council, this Amendment No. 8 will extend the life of State Grant
CAP-87-303-FED until January 1, 2001.
Staff is available to answer any questions.
