4) Does the department have an adequate number and appropriate <br /> mix of staff? <br /> 5) Provide a comprehensive comparison of st�ng levels with regazd to <br /> services,response times, and budgets with similar jurisdiction. <br />' 6) Analysis of unit deployment including the following: <br /> a. work load trends includin trainin <br /> g g <br /> b. staffing levels by incident and unit <br /> c. deployment of apparatus � <br /> 7) Evaluate special assignments given to fire personnel; i.e.,mask repair, <br /> pump,hydrant and hose testing, air supply,hazardous materials response. <br /> Station Location <br /> The consultant is required to study the existing network of fire station locations <br /> and companies. <br /> 1) Review the location of stations in regard to response time. <br /> 2) Project the prioritized need for new station locations or relocations with <br /> consideration given to surroundi.ng areas and new annexations. <br /> 3) Consider issues related to the problem of overlapping jurisdictions and <br /> multiple rezone issues from fire districts bordering existing and future <br /> Decatur city limits. <br /> 4) Consider funding resources for any additional services, stations or <br /> personnel. <br /> 5) Consideration given to lowering the ISO rating for the City of Decatur. <br /> Re�onse Times <br /> The consultant is required to review the department's current response times. <br /> 1) Review response times with regard to meeting the fire department goal <br /> of being on scene within 5 mi.nutes. <br /> 2) Review the present delivery of responding services to the community. <br /> 3) Evaluate the effect of demographic changes within the City and the impact <br /> it will have on response time. <br /> 4 <br />
