ATTACHMENT A I' <br /> TO ' <br /> AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES � <br /> Owner: City of Decatur, Illinois ��, <br /> Engineer: Black & Veatch Corporation <br /> Project: Water Works Improvements <br /> lon Exchange Treatment Plant Addition <br /> South Water Treatment Plant <br /> Date: August 30, 1999 <br /> DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The scope of services for this project shall generally consist of the following: <br /> 1. Perform engineering design and preaward services f�r the addition of ion <br /> exchange (IX) facilities to the South Water Treatment Plant. A general <br /> description of the facilities is contained in the report titled "Nitrate Treatment Cost <br /> Study, July 1999" by Black & Veatch (City Project 9852). <br /> 2. Perform an electric Ioad study to determine the generating capacity necessary <br /> from an emergency engine-generator to supply electric power to critical <br /> equipment during a power outage, and evaluate the ability of the existing engine- <br /> generator to supply the needed capacity. <br /> TASK 1. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT. <br /> A. Project Administration and Meetings. <br /> 1. Meet with Owner to clarify understanding of scope and parameters of the <br /> project. <br /> 2. Obtain and review Owner-furnished front-end documents, meet with <br /> Owner to resolve review comments, and revise Engineer's standard <br /> documents accordingly. <br /> 3.
