, , , . F EC
 9C
' v o
ti
'[IINO\Y
September 27, 1999
PUBLIC WORKS MEMORANDUM
NO. 99 - 60
MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and Cifiy Council
FROM: Rolanda A. Johnson, Acting City Manager
Bruce A. McNabb, P. E. Director of Public W rks
Stephen P. Swanson, P. E. City Engineer
SUBJECT: Water Service Agreement - 1620 & 1690 N. W. Route 121
Two properties on N. W. Route 121 have requested water service from the City due
to problems they have experienced with private wells. The first property, 1620 N. W.
Route 121, is owned by Louis A. Calabro and Linda Kennedy-Calabro. The second
property is 1690 N. W. Route 121 and is owned by Carol Tinley. The property owners
have submitted the required individual Water Service Agreements (copies attached) to
the City's Engineering Division. These agreements are required because the properties
are outside of, and not contiguous to, the City's corporate limits (refer to the attached
locale map). The water service connection will be to an existing 12-inch City water
main on the north side of Route 121.
The agreements, if approved by City Council, will increase the total number of
individual properties having water service agreements with the City to 38. The City has
19 water service districts involving 518 properties of which 347 have agreed to connect
to the City's water system.
It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution
approving Water Service Agreements to 1620 and 1690 N. W. Route 121 and authorize
the Mayor to execute said Water Service Agreements for City.
City staff will be available to answer any questions the Council may have at the
meeting.
Attachments:4
cc: Bobby L.
