r � , <br /> RESOLUTION NO. R99-152 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT <br /> ARTHUR J. GALLAGHER AND COMPANY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is in need of the professional brokerage and risk <br /> management advisory services to secure excess insurance for, and to assist in managing, the <br /> Ctiy's property/casualty self-insurance program for the period of October 1, 1999, through <br /> September 30, 2000; and <br /> WHEREAS, the brokerage firm of Arthur J. Gallagher and Company is prepared to <br /> provide these services for the City of Decatur; <br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the proposal of Arthur J. Gallagher and Company for the provision of II <br /> excess insurance brokerage and risk management services to the City of Decatur be, and the ' <br /> same is hereby, accepted and approved. <br /> Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to <br /> negotiate, for and on behalf of the City, an agreement with Arthur J. Gallagher and Company for <br /> the above-mentioned services in accordance with the proposal for same submitted by said <br /> company. <br /> Section 3. That the City Manager and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and <br /> directed to execute an agreement between the City of Decatur and Arthur J. Gallagher and <br /> Company for the above-mentioned services. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1 . <br /> TERRY M.
