r' <br /> . . <br /> . <br /> Strand was the most qualified to do the study based on the experience of the firm and its <br /> proposed team members. <br /> A service agreement to perform the study has been negotiated with Strand Associates, <br /> Inc. (copy attached). Strand estimates that study will take about 14 weeks and the final report <br /> will be submitted in early December. After receipt of the report, staff will develop recommended <br /> strategies to implement the recommendations in the report. The cost of the services is a <br /> not-to-exceed amount of$44,500. <br /> Funding for this project will come from the Water Capital Fund. <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution awarding <br /> an Engineering Services Agreement for the preparation of the Northeast Water Distribution <br /> Service Area Study to Strand Associates, Inc. and that the Mayor be authorized to execute the <br /> contract. <br /> City staff will be in attendance at the Ciiy Council meeting to answer questions that the <br /> Council members may have. <br /> attach: 3 <br /> cc: John A.
