<br /> AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES
<br /> This AGREEMENT for Architectural/Engineering Services, made this seventeenth day
<br /> of Mav , 1999 , is hereby entered into by and between the CITY OF DECATUR,
<br /> hereinafter referred to as the "OWNER" and BLANK, WESSELINK, COOK & ASSOCIATES,
<br /> ARCHITECT/ ENGINEER, INC., hereinafter referred to as the ARCHITECT. The OWNER's
<br /> office is located at One Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois 62523. The ARCHITECT's
<br /> home office is located at 2623 East Pershing Road, Decatur, Illinois 62526.
<br /> WITNESSETH:
<br /> WHEREAS, OWNER desires to construct a MULTI-MODAL TRANSPORTATION
<br /> CENTER, hereinafter referred to as the "PROJECT," and
<br /> WHEREAS, OWNER desires to obtain Architectural/Engineering services to have
<br /> certain tasks performed, as hereinafter set forth, requiring specialized skills and other supportive
<br /> capabilities; and
<br /> WHEREAS, ARCHITECT represents that, together with its sub-consultants, it is qualified
<br /> and possess sufficient skills and the necessary capabilities, including technical and professional
<br /> expertise, to perform the services set forth in the AGREEMENT,
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms, conditions, covenants, and
<br /> performance standards contained herein, OWNER and AF�CHITECTagree as folfows: ,
<br /> ARTICLE I
<br /> Pur ose
<br /> The Purpose of this AGREEMENT is to define the conditions and terms by which
<br /> OWNER will acquire from ARCHITECT the services requested by OWNER in a "Request for
<br /> Proposal for Architectural and Engineering Services for a Multi-Modal Transportation Center" in
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, which was dated July 6, 1998.
<br /> Wthin this AGREEMENT, design professionals are defined as those technical positions
<br /> of employment which require the possession of a certificate, license, registration, or any
<br /> combination of these documents, issued by the state in which the PROJECT is located, to
<br /> legally perform and verify the accuracy of the work tasks described in this AGREEMENT. Such
<br /> position include, but are not limited to, architects, engineers, construction inspectors, landscape
<br /> architects, land surveyors, and materials testing technicians.
