MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br /> OF TI� <br /> DECATUR CITY PLAN COMIVBSSION <br /> Thursday, April 1, 1999, 4:00 P.M. <br /> City Council Chambers, Decatur Civic Center <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> The April l, 1999 meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission was called to order at 3:05 P.M. <br /> in the City Council Chambers, Third Floor of the Decatur Civic Center, by Chairman Richard I <br /> Demirjian who determined a quorum was present. � <br /> Members Present: Richard Demirjian, Dave Anderson, Steve John, Jim Schiller, Susie Peck, , <br /> Michael Setina, Mike Shampine, Dan Smallwood, Phyllis Washington � <br /> Members Absent: Bill Clevenger, Rachael Woolsey i <br /> StaffPresent: Bill Turner, Max Forgey, Kathy Miller, Wendy Morthland, Lori Nale <br /> Mr. Demirjian officially welcomed Dave Anderson from the Decatur Sanitary District as a new <br /> Plan Commission member. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Schiller/Anderson)to approve the minutes of the March 4, 1999 <br /> meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission as presented. Motion carried with abstention by <br /> Commissioners Demirjian, Shampine, Smallwood, and Washington. <br /> Old Business <br /> It was moved and seconded (Anderson/Smallwood)to remove Cal. No. 99-18 from the table. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Cal. No. 99-18 Preliminary Plat - Timberlake Subdivision <br /> Mr. Phillip Cochran, Consulting Engineer, was present and spoke for the petition representing the <br /> developer, Paul Hopkins. The subject property is 37 acres in size. Mr. Cochran stated that in <br /> 1993, the subdivision was submitted and the preliminary plat was approved with over 901ots and <br /> it included streets with curb and gutters. Mr. Hopkins has embraced the development of an <br /> environmentally sound subdivision with private streets that will be 20 feet wide from edge to <br /> edge. Drainage would be to the enlarged lake on the property through a system of silt detention <br /> with overflow into natural drainage and into Lake Decatur. The subdivision as presented today <br /> will have larger lots at the east end of the development that are two to three acres in size. The <br /> connection to the roadway system will be Excelsior Road. There may be a gated access allowed <br />
