Swanson,P.E., City Engineet�'� SUBJECT: Water Service Agreement-81 South Shores Drive Richard L. and Margo Tish, 81 South Shores Drive, have requested water service from the City of Decatur and submitted the required Water Service Agreement (copy attached) to the City's Engineering i Division. The agreement is required because the property is outside of and not contiguous to the City's � corporate limits. The property is located approximately 200 feet north and east of the intersection of South Shores Drive and Danceland Road (refer to locale map). The water service connection will be to �, I an existing City water main in South Shores Drive. � � The agreement, if approved by City Council, will increase the total number of individual properties ' having water service agreements with the City to 33. The City has 19 water service districts involving I 518 properties of which 347 have agreed to connect to the City's water system. i It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution approving a Water Service Agreement for the real property described as: A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section twenty-five (25), Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Two (2) East of the 3rd P. M. in Macon County, Illinois, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of the Northwest Half of the Southwest quarter of said Section 25, thence North 89 degrees 52 minutes 40 seconds West 40 feet along the South line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 25 to an iron pin on the West right-of-way line of S. A. Route 31 (South Shores Drive)as recorded in Book 745,Page 225 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois;thence North i degree 18 minutes 11 seconds East 219.95 feet along the West right-of-way line of said S. A. Route 31 to an iron pin at the point of beginning;thence North 88 degrees 41 minutes 49 seconds West 290.00 feet to an iron pin;thence North 1 degree 18 minutes 11 seconds east 180.00 feet to an iron pin;thence South 88 degrees 41 minutes 49 seconds East 271.97 feet to the west right-of-way line of said S.A. Route 31;thence Southerly along the West right-of-way line of said S.A.Route 31 to the point of beginning,which is situated in the County of Macon,in the State of Illinois. and; authorizing the Mayor to execute said Water Service Agreement for City.
