V � � RESOLUTION NO. R9�9-67 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF REAL PROPERTY - 1122-1166 EAST MARIETTA STREET AND 921 NORTH JASPER STREET - Whereas, the City of Decatur ("City") currently leases the real property located at 1122-1166 East Marietta Street and 921 North Jasper Street, Decatur, Illinois, to Decatur-Macon County Opportunities Corporation ("DMCOC") for use in its work with low and moderate income persons and families; and, Whereas, the City Council has decided that 1122-1166 East Marietta Street and 921 North Jasper Street is no longer necessary or required for the use of the City, and that the public interest would best be served by selling such property; and, Whereas, by Resolution No. 98-167, the City Council did authorize notice of publication of the intent to sell such property, which notice was published according to law, and DMCOC submitted the sole bid to purchase said property in response thereto, for the price of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00); and, Whereas, the City Council deems it in the public interest to sell such property to DMCOC, on the conditions set out herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That upon the conditions set forth hereafter, the request of DMCOC to purchase the real property commonly known as 1122-1166 East Marietta Street and 921 North Jasper Street and legally described as: Lots Eleven (11) through Twenty (20), Block Nineteen (19) of Carver's Addition to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book T Page 238 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, for the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file and accepted.
