Newell, P.E., Traffic Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: Agreement Covering the Proposed Installation of Traffic Signals <br /> at the Intersections of Brush College Road / Illinois Route 48 and <br /> the Eastbound I-72 Ramps/Dlinois Route 48 <br /> An item on the agenda for the March 29, 1999, City Council meeting is an agreement , <br /> b�etween the City of Decatur, County of Macon and the State of Illinois covering the proposed <br /> installation of traffic signals at the intersections of Brush College Road / Illinois Route 48 and <br /> the eastbound I-72 ramps/Illinois Route 48. <br /> All design and construction costs relative to these intersections will be borne by the <br /> County, State and Federal governments. The City will take over maintenance and operation of <br /> the completed traffic signals, 67% of which will be reimbursed by the State for Brush College <br /> Road / Illinois Route 48 and with 100% reimbursement for the eastbound I-72 ramps / Illinois <br /> Route 48. The City will cover all future electricity costs required to operate the traffic signals. <br /> The Macon County Board approved this agreement on March 11, 1999. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach: 1 <br />
