Ramps Section (58-64-1)TS,TS-1 Macon County Contract No. 90883 C-95-059-97 � Agreement No. JN-599011 AGREEMENT This agreement, entered into this _�day of , 19�, by and between the STATE OF ILLINOIS, acting by and through its DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, hereinafter called the STATE, and the City of Decatur in Macon County, hereinafter called the CITY, and Macon County of the State of Illinois, hereinafter called the COUNTY. WITNESSETH WHEREAS, the STATE, CITY, and the COUNTY, in order to facilitate the free flow of traffic and insure safety to the motoring public are desirous of improving the intersection of Illinois Route 48(FAP Route 712) with Brush College Road (FAU Route 7448) and I-72 (E.B.) Ramps; and WHEREAS, Brush College Road is the jurisdiction of the COUNTY; and WHEREAS, the improvement to the intersection of Illinois Route 48 with Brush College Road and the improvement at I-72 (E.B.) Ramps shall consist of installing traffic signals which shall include detector loops, controller, controller cabinet, signal posts, combination mast arms and highway lighting requested by the COUNTY, signal heads; � upgrading pavement markings; and by performing all other work necessary to complete the im rovement in accordance with a roved lans and s ecifications• and P PP P � P NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. The STATE agrees to make the surveys, obtain all necessary rights of way, prepare plans and specifications, receive bids and award the contract, furnish engineering inspection during construction and cause the improvement to be built in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract. 2. The STATE agrees to pay all rights-of-way, construction and engineering costs, subject to reimbursement by the COUNTY as hereinafter stipulated.
