Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Annexing Territory--4855 Rea's Bridge Road <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the subject annexation petition be approved. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The subject property adjoins Decatur City limits on the west, north and east. Properiy to the south is located in the County. The <br /> lot contains approximately 2.0 acres. The lot is improved with a residence. The following information is relevant to the areas in <br /> question. <br /> 1. City water is currently available and connected to the subject property. Water has been connected to the property since 2003. <br /> 2. No additional public infrastructure or municipal services are needed or contemplated. <br /> 3 Decatur Fire response distance and time averages 4.2 miles and and 8 minutes, respectively. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The plat and annexation request has been reviewed by Engineering, Finance, Fire, Legal, <br /> Macon County Health Department, Municipal Services Division, Planning and Building Services, Neighborhood Services, and <br /> Water Services. All of the reviewers recommend the annexa.tion be approved. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director and Matt Newell, City Engineer.
