,- � <br /> Page 2 <br /> July 1998 BLDD, Architectural Expressions and BWC requested to submit <br /> Statements of Qualifications <br /> July 29, 1998 Selection of Architectural and Engineering firm for design work for <br /> multi-modal facility submitted by Robert Reed - evaluation forms enclosed <br /> August 19, 1998 All documents and files concerning multi-modal facility turned over to <br /> Cecil Collins and Bill Turner <br /> September 4, 1998 Meeting set up with BLDD and BWC to explain status, request additional <br /> information from the two firms. BWC did not come to meeting. Explained <br /> to Gene Dillow what was being requested. Council approval had not been <br /> obtained to proceed with A& E <br /> November 2, 1998 Meet again with Gene Dillow, BLDD, asked for something in writing <br /> concerning scope of project <br /> December 3, 1998 Cecil met with IDOT to discuss scope of work, complete demolition of - <br /> structure and additional funding <br /> December 9, 1998 Meet with Harry Cook, BWC. Asked if they would submit information on <br /> structural condition of building(garage) and provide information on <br /> previous inspections <br /> December 10, 1998 Meeting with Ray Tellis, IDOT, agreement reached on expansion of work, <br /> funding requests partially resolved <br /> December 14, 1998 Received report from BWC. It appears the structural integrity of the <br /> building is questionable for use even as a parking garage. Repairs and costs . <br /> would be extensive. <br /> Original request for statement of Qualifications and Letters of Interest <br /> state that most of garage to be demolished. It also stated "the City has <br /> interest in retaining a portion of the parking gazage" but does not limit the <br /> scope of the project. Section II also mentions "the money will be for <br /> architectural and engineering services, demolition of the existing structure <br /> and construction of the new facility and site development. <br />
