RESOLUTION NO. R97-66 <br /> RESOLUTION DESIGNATING NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION DISTRICT <br /> -800 TO 1900 NORTH MAIN STREET - <br /> WHEREAS, there currently exist residential areas within the City of Decatur that contain <br /> many low to moderate income households located on high-tr�c streets and which houses are in <br /> need of repair and maintenance; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such areas may be preserved as residential neighborhoods by permitting <br /> selective and controlled use of residential properties as partial commercial uses; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such areas should be designated Neighborhood Preservation Districts. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATLJR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That the Council finds that the part of the City identified in Exhibit A hereto <br /> attached is an area which fully conforms to the criteria above. <br /> Section 2. That said area described in Exhibit A be, and the same is hereby, designated a <br /> NeiQhborhood Preservation District. <br /> Section 3.
