EXHIBIT A <br /> ANNEXATION AGREEMENT <br /> This Annexation Agreement made by and between the City of Decatur, Illinois, a <br /> municipal corporation ("City") and Robert Tolladay ("Owner"). <br /> WHEREAS, Robert Tolladay is the owner of the following described premises: <br /> The Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, <br /> Township 17 North, Range 3 East of the Third P.M., situated in <br /> Macon County, Illinois; AND ALSO, <br /> The East 40 acres of the South 33 Chains of the Southwest <br /> Quarter of Section 30, Township 17 North, Range 3 East of the <br /> Third P.M., EXCEPT the right-of-way of Illinois Central Railroad <br /> and the right-of-way owned or used by State and local <br /> governmental authorities for public roadway purposes, situated in <br /> Macon County, Illinois; <br /> ("Premises"), <br /> which Premises are outside of the corporate limits of the City but contiguous thereto; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Owner desires to annex said Premises to the City, but only upon certain <br /> terms and conditions; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City agrees that said terms and conditions, as contained herein, are <br /> reasonable and acceptable; and, <br /> WHEREAS, hearings have been held and notice given as required by law. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual promises and obligations <br /> made and assumed herein, and pursuant to authority of 65 ILCS 5/11-15.1-1 et seq., the City <br /> and Owner agree as follows: <br /> 1. The Owner shall file an annexation petition with the City, in compliance with 65 ILCS � <br /> 5/7-1-8, said petition to describe the Premises and to request that the same be annexed to 'I <br /> and included within the corporate limits of the City. . <br />
