Newell, P.E., TratTic Engineer��iio� <br /> SUBJECT: Agreement Covering the Proposed Modernization of Traftic <br /> Signals at the Intersection of 27th Street and Dlinois Route 48 <br /> An item on the agenda for the September 8, 1998, City Council meeting, is an agreement <br /> between the City of Decatur, County of Macon, and the State of Illinois, covering the proposed <br /> improvement of traffic signals at the intersection of 27th Street and Illinois Route 48. <br /> The City's portion of this $48,300 project is estimated to be $ 1,207; which is 2.5% of the <br /> estimated overall improvement cost. The remainder will be paid by the County, State and Federal <br /> governments. <br /> The improvement will entail the installation of left turn signals for Route 48, replacement <br /> of the signal controller and replacement of the electrical service. <br />, The City's portion of this project will be paid for out of the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach: 2 <br />
