Krieger, Director, Economic Development Department�� <br /> U <br /> Subject: Identification of Ocwen Financial Group as Near North Redevelopment Project <br /> Developer of Record <br /> The attached resolution formally identifies Ocwen Financial Group as the Developer of Record <br /> for the Near North Redevelopment Project. As Council recalls, members of Ocwen Financial <br /> Group's development team outlined their approach and timeline as part of a project update <br /> during the City Council Study Session of July 27, 1998. <br /> The direction Council provided that night was to continue with the process of formulating a <br /> redevelopment plan and a specific development agreement. Council also expressed its desire to <br /> see Ocwen work with the residents and various agencies that comprise the area's stakeholders; <br /> and to the extent possible, incorporate some of their ideas into the overall redevelopment plan. <br /> The attached resolution provides the necessa.ry direction for Ocwen Financial Group and City <br /> staff to continue with the process. The next project update has been tentatively scheduled for the <br /> October 12, 1998, City Council Study Session. <br /> Staff will be available to answer questions. <br />
