The first is generally bordered by Eldorado Street on the north; 26th Street on the east; William Street on the south; and 22nd Street on the west. The second area is generally bordered by William Street on the north; Route 36 on the east; Wood Street on the south; and 21 st Street on the east. A location map is attached for your information. The work is estimated to involve the replacement of approximately 27,450 square feet (5,490 lineal feet of 5 foot wide sidewalk) of sidewalk. The project was advertised and bids were received and opened on July 21, 1998. The results of the bid opening (a bid tabulation is attached) are as follows: Compared to Engineer's Est. It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution awarding the contract for the 1998 Sidewalk Replacement Program to Pav, Inc., Capital Project 9803, as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of their bid price of$88,936.50, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute the contract.
