This agreement is for a three <br /> year period with an option to renew for an addirional two years. <br /> The 3-year fixed cost of.0171 per bus mile, is more than 1 cent per mile less than the current rate <br /> of.0279 per bus mile. According to the Decatur Transit System coordinator, Bob Reed, that will <br /> result in an annual savings of more than $7000. <br /> It is staff recommendation to accept the proposal of Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. to furnish the <br /> lease of bus tires at a 3 year fixed rate of.0171 per bus mile. <br />
