Couter, Corporation Counsel <br /> RE: Prevailing Wages <br /> The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act requires each city to determine the prevailing wages for <br /> public works in its jurisdiction each June, those rates to then be in effect for all public works <br /> projects for that city for the next twelve (12) months. The State of Illinois will make that <br /> determination, and the City may then adopt its findings, which Decatur has traditionally done. <br /> The accompanying resolution adopts the State's findings on this matter, and Staff <br /> recommends approval of this annual item. <br /> JWC:ps <br /> cc: Wendy L.
