Swanson, P.E., City Engineeu��J <br /> SUBJECT: Annual New Sidewalk Program <br /> City Project 9721 <br /> This item was presented to the City Council at its meetin� of May 4, 1998. The Council <br /> tabled this item and asked that staff advise it of the status of the South Shores Drive to Forrest <br /> Green sidewalk link. Staff subsequently informed the Council of the status of this sidewalk link in <br /> a memorandum dated May 11, 1998. The Council directed the Engineering Division to proceed <br /> with the proposed annual new sidewalk program. <br /> This year's annual new sidewalk program will construct sidewalks at five locations in the City <br /> where sidewalks do not exist and a need has been determined. The five locations, shown on the <br /> attached sites locale drawing, are as follows: <br /> 1. North Main Street from McKinley Avenue to Kenwood Avenue on the east side. <br /> 2. Water Street from McKinley Avenue to Kenwood Avenue on the west side. <br /> 3. Franklin Street from South Shores Park to Grove Road on the east side. <br /> 4. 22nd Street from the existing sidewalk terminus to Sinawak Park on the west side. <br /> 5. Jasper Street from Johns Avenue to Whitmer Street on the west side. <br />
