Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�� <br /> SUBJECT: MULTI-PUR.POSE VEHICLE BID <br /> Attached you will find a bid summary for a multi-purpose vehicle to be used by the Forestry <br /> Division of the Public Works Department. This equipment will replace an endloader. The <br /> multi-purpose vehicle has 18" wide rubber tracks which enables it to go where a wheeled vehicle <br /> cannot go. This will allow for easy clean out of water retention areas and for creek clean out. <br /> The vehicle is very versatile with the wide range of attachments that are available. The vehicle <br /> can operate as a loader/backhoe with the 4 - in - 1 bucket attachment. The brush cutter allows <br /> the vehicle to become a mower. Logging and clearing are accomplished with the log grapple <br /> attachment and winch. The fork attachment allows the vehicle to operate in material handling <br /> application for snow fence placement and removal in muddy fields. <br /> It is staff recommendation to accept the bid of N.C. Pries Implement, Inc. to furnish one (1) ASV <br /> posi track MD70 multi-purpose vehicle with attachments for$65,945. <br />
