ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT <br /> This Addendum to Agreement entered into this`� day of February, 1998, by and <br /> between the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "City"), and James L. Williams, Jr., a resident of the City of Decatur, County of Macon, State <br /> of Illinois (hereinafter referred to as the "Employee"). <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the City and the Employee entered into a certain Agreement on or about <br /> September 3, 1996, whereby the City employed Employee as its City Manager, under certain <br /> terms and conditions set forth therein; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that Agreement in certain respects as set forth <br /> below; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises contained <br /> herein, and Ten Dollars ($10.00) in hand paid, and other good and valuable consideration, the <br /> receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto do hereby agree as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. Paragraph 6 of the Agreement heretofore entered into by and between the parties <br /> on or about September 3, 1996, provided a salary at an annual rate of Ninety-Five Thousand <br /> Dollars ($95,000.00) for the period commencing on the effective date of that Agreement,payable <br /> in bi-weekly installments as per the pay plan generally applicable to all city employees. <br /> Employee agreed to normal and customary withholding, and the Employee appointed therein the <br /> City as his agent to report such compensation to federal and state taxing authorities as required <br /> by law. <br />
