Reed, Mass Transit Administrator <br /> Subject: FTA Operating Assistance Grant Agreement for FY'98 <br /> Upon City Council apprnval, the attached resolution will authorize the execution of a <br /> grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. <br /> The agreement will provide $445,000 in operating assistance for the Decatur Public Transit <br /> System in FY'98. <br /> Total estimated operating expenses for the federal fiscal year are $2,235,000. The State <br /> will fund $1,095,150 of that amount and the remainder will come from passenger revenues and ', <br /> local contributions. <br /> The first reimbursement for the federal share of operating expenses should be received in <br /> March, 1998. � <br />
