These vehicles will replace <br /> 1993, 1995 and 1996 model Chevrolet Caprices currently in use. <br /> The low bid of Green Chevrolet does not meet City of Decatur specifications in several areas as <br /> follows: <br /> C� of Decatur Specifictions Green Chevrolet <br /> 1. Minimum engine requirements aze that 1. Engine is 3.8 liter, V-6. <br /> it be no smaller than 4.6 liter and be a <br /> V-8 multi-port engine. <br /> 2. Cazgo space for the trunk will be 2. Cazgo space is 15.5 cubic feet. <br /> minimum of 20 cubic feet. <br /> 3. Wheel base shall be minimum of 112 inches. 3. Wheel base is 107.5 inches. <br /> The Lumina is too small of a vehicle to meet the needs of the Police Department. There would <br /> not be enough room for all their equipment and radios. <br /> The second low bid of Northtown Ford meets City of Decatur specifications in the azeas <br /> mentioned above. <br /> It is staff recommendation to accept the bid of Northtown Ford to fizrnish sixteen (16) 1998 Ford <br /> Crown Victoria police pursuit vehicles for$320,802 total. <br />
