ATTACHMENT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Owner: City of Decatur, Illinois <br /> Engineer: Black & Veatch <br />', Project: South Water Treatment Plant <br /> Raw Water Intake Evaluation <br /> City Project 9732 <br /> The Scope of the Services for the Project shall be as follows. Work <br /> will start with the execution of this Agreement. <br /> TASK SERIES 100 - INVESTIGATIONS AND ASSESSMENTS <br /> This group of tasks involves use of existing information to develop an ' <br /> inventory of potential spill situations that may endanger the quantity <br /> or quality of the raw water supply and their relative risks. The study <br /> will be limited to spills in the Lake watershed from the Route 36 bridge <br /> to the dam. The study area does not include the Big Creek sub- <br /> watershed. The OWNER will be responsible for providing an inventory of <br /> the stormwater conveyances discharging to the Lake in the study area. <br /> Task 101 Review Existing Information. Existing information from <br /> agencies such as the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois <br /> Department of Natural Resources, and the Illinois EPA; the CSX Railroad; <br /> and various departments of the OWNER will be reviewed to identify <br /> historical and potential future spills of hazardous materials that might <br /> restrict the water supply at the South Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) . The <br /> effort will include interviews with Haz-Mat staff inembers at ADM, <br /> Staley, and Bodine Environmental to determine the types of spills they <br /> are prepared to control . This information will be considered in <br /> identifying the types of spills that may occur in the future. <br /> Task 102 Develop Inventory of Potential Spill Situations. From the <br /> information assembled in the previous task, an inventory of potential <br /> sources of spills that might affect the raw water supply will be <br /> developed. As availability of data permits, the inventory will list the <br /> source (e.g. tank truck) , the type and quantity of material carried by <br /> SLW24:002 A—1 December 15, 1991 <br />
