i:o•Df C
 C
V 70

%[LINOY
November 6, 1997
PUBLIC WORKS MEMORANDUM
NO. 97-400
MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: James L. Williams,Jr., City Manager ;,,
Bruce A. McNabb,Director of Public WorksC
Stephen P. Swanson, City Engineer '-'j
SUBJECT: North Taylor Water Service Agreement
The Engineering Division was contacted by property owners, Chang and Chong Kim, at
4374 N. Taylor Road requesting City water service. They were advised that a water service
agreement is required because their property is outside of and not contiguous to the City's
' corporate limits. The property is located on the east side of Taylor Road appromately a quarter
, mile south or Arbor Drive (refer to attached location map). They have signed the water service
agreement (copy attached). The water service connection will be to an existing City watermain
on the west side of N. Taylor Road.
The agreement, if approved by City Council, will increase the total number of properties
having separate water service agreements with the City to 31. The City has 19 water service
districts involving 518 properties of which 347 have agreed to connect to the City's water system.
It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution approving a
Water Service Agreement for the real property described as the North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the
Southwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 Section 28, Township 17 North, Range 2 East, 3rd Principal
, Meridian and authorizing the Mayor to execute said water service agreement for City.
City staff will be available at the meeting to answer questions that the Council may have.
Attachments: 3
cc: Farrell Trout, Chief Drafter
