Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�,Q <br /> SUBJECT: TRACTOR/MOWER BID <br /> Attached you will fmd a bid summary for a tractor/mower unit with a snow plow to be used in <br /> the Forestry Division. This equipment will replace a 1990 unimog with Schmidt snow plows. <br /> The low bid of Roesch Equipment does not meet specifications in several areas as follows: <br /> �y of Decat�r S�ecifications Roesch Eq��ment <br /> -single out front type mowing unit -mowing deck attached to back of <br /> of tractor <br /> A front mowing unit is easier to setup and breakdown for use with other attachments. A front <br /> mowing unit allows the operator to see any debris on the right of way while mowing. A mowing <br /> deck in the rear of the tractor would be more difficult for the operator to see. <br /> -hydraulic reservoir a minimum of -hydraulic filter shall be a return <br /> 25 U.S. gallons with a 10 micron 75 line, intake 25 micron element with <br /> GPM capacity filter restriction gauge and rated at 75 <br /> GPM. <br /> The 25 micron element would allow lazger particles and impurities to get into the hydraulic <br /> system than a 10 micron filter system. <br /> -25' telescopic�articulated boom arm - 23' articulated <br /> brush and grass mower <br /> The telescopic arm allows to reach farther up or down when mowing on an overpass. In addition, <br /> the mower unit bid by Roesch requires a wheel weight to be attached to the tractor to counter <br />
