Reed, Mass Transit Administrator�,��' <br /> Subject: FTA Operating and Capital Grant Agreement <br /> Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will authorize the execution of an <br /> operating and capital grant agreement with the Federal Transit Administration. The grant i <br /> agreement provides $983,151 in federal funds to the City of Decatur for the operating and <br /> capital needs of the Decatur Public Transit System. <br /> Specifically, the FTA will reimburse the City for $475,151 in operating expenses for <br /> FY'97 and up to $508,000 in capital funds for the purchase of 2 paratransit vans and for <br /> construction of the multi-modal transportation center. It is expected that the operating funds will <br /> be received in about 2 months. <br />
