Smith,Water Production Manager ' <br /> SUBJECT: Lake Decatur Dam Improvements <br /> Replacement of Hydraulic System <br /> City Project 8918-D <br /> The last phase of the rehabilitation to the Lake Decatur Dam is the replacement of the <br /> hydraulic system controls, pumps, valves and piping and the electrical system controls and service <br /> for the operation of the bascule gates. There have not been any major repairs to the hydraulic <br /> system since its installation in 1955. This phase completes work that started on the dam <br /> rehabilitation approximately four years ago. The plans and specifications for this work were <br /> prepared, under contract to the City, by the consulting firm of Black&Veatch(B&V). <br /> The project was advertised and bids were received and opened on May 7, 1997.
