O.DEc
a
c
u
%LIINOY
, Apri129, 1997 I
PUBLIC WORKS MEMORANDUM
N0. 97 - 45
MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: James L. Williams, Jr., City Manager
Bruce A. McNabb, Director of Public Works
Keith D. Alexander, Lake Manager
SUBJECT: Macon County Soil&Water Conservation District Contract
The attached resolution is for the approval of the attached contract with the Macon County
Soil & Water Conservation District (MCSWCD) to continue the City's progressive Lake Decatur
Watershed soil conservation and water quality improvement progam at a cost of$127,000. This
would be the 13th consecutive annual contract with the MCSWCD, and is identical to the
previous year's. It maintains the flexibility necessary to implement progams which may be
recommended by the City's watershed management feasibility study, which is scheduled for
completion this summer.
City staff recommends that this contract be approved to continue the City's successful
watershed protection program. ,
attach.: 2
cc: Marilyn Parker, MCSWCD (w/out attach.)
