Newell, P.E., Traffic Engineer�5�y <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing City, State, and Railroad Agreement to <br /> Upgrade Warning Flashers at the Railroad Grade Crossing on <br /> Garfield Avenue,West of Jasper Street <br /> An item on the agenda for the April 21, 1997, City Council meeting is a resolution <br /> authorizing an agreement between the State of Illinois, the Illinois Central Railroad, and the City <br /> of Decatur to upgrade the warning flashers at the railroad grade crossing on Garfield Avenue, <br /> west of Jasper Street. This upgrade will be paid for entirely with Federal and State funding. The <br /> project will consist of removing the existing post mounted flashers and installing flashers <br /> e�ending over the traffic lanes. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach: 2 <br />
