City staff recommends approval. 841 N. Monroe-NSI# 9603775. Case started 07-22-96. Utilities terminated 01-22-97. Standing open and abandoned. Severe structural damage. Interior being heavily vandalized and stripped. Neighbors complain of unknown persons entering at night. 1170 N. College-NSI#9701042. Case started 02-14-97. Utilities terminated 10-15-96. Standing open and abandoned. Interior being vandalized and stripped. Furnace, electrical equipment and many other essentials already removed. Neighbors complain of suspected gang members frequenting at night. 1410 N. Morgan-NSI#9604930. Case started 10-18-96. Severe lack of maintenance all around. Owner removed to nursing home. Front porch structural column removed and porch roof could collapse. Neighbors complain of rats being drawn to neighborhood because of the deplorable condition of this property. 1551 N. Complaints from neighbors and police department that house being used for illegal activities. Complaints of unknown persons frequenting at night. 1173 S. Silas -NSI#9604643. Case started 09-13-96. Unable to resolve with regular housing case because of disputed ownership. Owner of record has abandoned property and has no intention of repairing or demolishing. Subject of numerous neighborhood complaints because of state of deterioration. Utilities ternunated 03-16-95.
