Swanson, P.E., City Engineer��� <br /> SUBJECT: Miscellaneous Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br /> City Project 9614 <br /> The City's Miscellaneous Sanitary Sewer Improvements project is an annual program to have <br /> a private contractor repair, replace and/or install sanitary sewer mains and manholes. This work is <br /> done at locations where City maintenance crews have found that short segments, less than 50 feet, <br /> of sewer mains are in poor condition from settlement, displacement, collapse, cracking or age. <br /> The project also includes installing manholes to improve accessibility to older sewer mains in the <br /> City for cleaning and inspection. The work is contracted because City crews are typically not able , <br /> to do the work due to equipment needs, space limitations or scheduling conflicts. '�, <br /> The Engineering Division compiled information provided by the Municipal Services Division ', <br /> and prepared the plans and specifications for this project. The project was advertised and bids <br /> were received and opened on March 6, 1997.
